The Hackney Bumps session 5. Hackney Bumps man, again. This time kids burned several scooters and Motobikes, shot fireworks at everyone and anybody and Chimps wheels actually got bigger from all the dirt sticking to them. Iwasn't there myself (injured... aaaarg...) but it sounds like it was a real Ghetto Skate!
Kenny Quality. Kenny, you know is a banker. He's also a rad skater and shoots the best photos. here is some more of that.
Haha, our infiltration of the Kennington skate bowl is getting more and more... despite me dislocating my knee cap there... Danny, pictured bellow and others are copying our tricks and for sure will be better at them then us in due time... haha, but they still want our product!
Pics and sound from the first Shits gig autumn 2002. Put together by Marten.
The Shits review in Big Cheese Magazine sometime spring 2003
Mobernist zineHeseenmob is putting out a zine called MOBERNIST. Its about skating art and life and it rock! if you want it, email info@hessenmob.de
The Hackney Bumps session 3. This time we took two americans (David Franklin and Eric the tattooist) from SF to the infamous Hackney Bumps. They took some photos, smoked some fags, and chilled in the shade while our own 243 roaches took on the bumps and some rubbish that was there.
Nothing special, just want to say again that the Kennington Park bowl is wicked.
F I N D E R S K E E P E R S It all started with an email saying that and when it would happen. What? An exhibition of art made from rubbish, and from after a certain time free to take away. Meet up on monday with 20+ artist, writers and others who decorate the streets of london with their stickers, posters, drawings, graffiti, stencils, and what not. Have a few drinks then go looking for rubbish to paint on. Spend the rest of the week painting, then on the friday meet at the secret spot and hang up the art. The location was given out to guest by email on friday noon. 7.30pm, official start. Street party with music from a boom box, some free drinks, and Jah Mullett even broad his portable record player and lots of 7"... The art was very much appreciated, the folks having to wait til midnight to get their hands on the pieces of their choice was not. At around 10.30pm it was decided that it was time to get going, so the masses where allowed to go for it. All hell broke loose. People climbing all over the walls of the abandoned shop to get to the one piece that they desired, falling down, fighting over paintings, pure feeding frenzy... People taking two or three paintings and running away with them... it was crazy fun. Big thanks to Dface, PMH and Mysterious Al who organised it all. No thanks to greed. FINDERS KEEPERS will happen again soon. We keep you informed.
Surface in Between art exhibition. They bowled out a whole room in an old school building which, as i heard, will be converted into another place for rich city boyz n girlz to live... it was hot in there, but fun to skate. The obstacle in the middle was meant to be hard to skate so to see what lines people would find on it. Upstairs was the art show in another beautiful room and an exit to the massive roof terrace. Some good stuff was on show, the roof was the best place to hang out, and skating the, well room, was according to Sami like skating and playing squash at the same time...
Ichi's Leaving party! Ichi had a little leaving party before going to Japan for a month and lots of coppers came...
NEW SKATE PARK IN LEYTONSTONE. East London has a new skate park! Yes you heard right. Look at the photos below. We've been told that the park was funded by the council, and build by a group of BMXers and skaters. Its all wood and coping, strongly build and the transitions are fast and good for both BMX and skateboards, although some might find it a bit too fast for such a small park. The locals seem sound and the kids had some skills! Go check it out at Cann Hall Road Between a school and a Railroad in Leytonstone.
Gruselig...
Dave's Brother's Skull Boy. Remember a little while ago Mr Chimp delivered us the Skull Boy clay figure? Well the photos are still to view in FAMILY > PHOTOS. His 16 year old brother thought Skulll Boy was dope and made his own version. We where well impressed! Gory respect to Stuart Horwood.
THE LUNCH BREAK SESSIONS Sami got a fucked up back at the moment so lunch is dull if it exists. But if everything is right then lunch break in the the docklands can be fun. Take your board, search your area, become a spot hunter, find the hidden shit...
BOOTY NOT BOMBS Inspiration came with Mysterious Al visit and the resulting doodle session. As one must know Chimp are quick. So our Chimp, one again after escaping his enclosure, lightning fast stole Mysty Al's idea and stenciled it on his board... 243 SUPPORT is against war!
The Shits are Creeps...
FISHEYE. Damn, that fisheye lens just makes me crack up. So easy to take a good, well funny at least pictures with it. This is just a little selection...
The Hackney Bumps session 2. This is a little bit of a chimp special! Check the monkey flyin'! Ollie over Cockroach mags corporate advertising banner. Chimp is such a kracker of a guy init? He not only looks stylish on the brett, but also manages not to roll over the scared monsters snout, all whilst escaping the deadly alien laser rays that burned holes into the stupid photographer (me) for getting his shadow in the picture. Tail tap turn on the very top of mount Hackney, while a fin is looking in awe. The fin can't take it so he ups with a suave 360flip on the 32.6" above sealevel. Tony the OG graffiti sprayer and The Shadow Mafia.
The Hackney Bumps session 1. This spot is indeed very skatable sir. Yes sir, it looks like a bunch of giant concrete tits, sir. Very well sir, I understand you imensly enjoyed skating there, and had lots of fffun, no sir, I'm happy that you didn't brake your neck and the sun was shining and the kids was nice... yes sir, yes.
Read the news for full story. Here just the question: are these the Hackney Bumps? Well they are in Hackney and the surface is ok. We heard that there is trouble kids around some time, so "be very careful" says Big Mamma Ichi! Apart from that it looks like a carving paradise.
The March against the War on Iraq. It was good to see so many sane people, as opposed to the ever growing number of insane people that you see everyday on TV lying. Cheating, being greedy and egoistic, not caring about anyone else then themself... all these bad things seem to have become an essential part of politics and no one minds getting caught as well. I mean hey, what do they have to care about? If a politician or industry leader fucks up he will get his £11,4 billion pay off... You get the idea. So, the march was good. Read what we did in the news.
Another one of Chimps wicked figures. I'd like to call it "SkullBoy". But I dunno what he thinks. It's funny though, cos "SkullBoy" is so Undead. Killed by the arrow, rotted til only the skull was left, and then he came back to life in a black mud body by the hands os a giant Chimp...
B.V.C. - Be Very Carefull! Ichi has caught a Zombie bug!
Errr... Just some stupid faces...
Kabe here. I had a super mega fresh xmas present from the Chimp... All I can say is thanx dooode! It's the Rock'n'Roll Viking!

There is a story of a rooster, a cat, a dog and a donkey who where to old to work on their farms and so got kicked out. They met up by chance and decided to form a band. They wandered through the forrest and it got dark and they got very hungry. Then they saw a light and found it to be a house full of robbers, the tables overflowing with food. They stood on top of each other in front of the window and made lots of noise. The robbers thought that it was a monster and that the house was haunted, so they left and never came back. The rooster, the cat, the dog and the donkey lived in the house happy until the end of their days.
THE SHITS played at the Adrenalin Xmas party. The first gig ever outside of the rehearsal room. Check the masks etc. If that wasn't enough, they where loud and had all stances! People either had their mind boglled or left. It was fun as f*ck and Ichi and Helen lead the crowd.
I wonder if you can get arrested for this? Stencil by Kabe243

Check it out! The rebranding has begun. We already gave some of these old, refurbished boards to some money-less kids and they loved it. One guy in Kennington learned to ollie in one week...
Ichi ankles are getting better. We had lots of fun making a shoe out of stickers for her cast, which we might auction here later. She got an ankle protector thing now from the hospital, that looked funny when she wore it with a skirt... hehe. Here she is skating the make shift 'Kabe's Bedroom Ramp' that was the only skatable thing during this rained out summer...

Live to Hide...
Dennis is rad. He fires everyone up and reminds you that "it's ok, it doesn't matter". On this session he slammed so hard so many times, but always got up laughing and joking. His feet are a bit fucked at the moment. Get well soon dirty punk and rip it kaputt!!!
